"Design Harvest was rated by Chicago Traveler as one of the top events to attend in September!"

West Town’s “Grand Avenue Design District” will be a mecca for designers and design enthusiasts on September 26th and 27th when the best local designers come together for the aesthetic marketplace known as Design Harvest. Now in its 6th year, an all-new and revamped Design Harvest will focus more on the brick and mortar Design District retail stores and create pop up shops in the empty lots and inside storefronts along the Grand Avenue Design District. Also new in 2015, Design Harvest is teaming up with Designs for Dignity in order to curate the exhibitions and promote the event. 20% of net funds raised will benefit Designs for Dignity.

In addition to home and garden objects that range from vintage and antique to environmentally-conscious and modern, Design Harvest 2015 will also feature a curated jewelry designer section, a silent auction, and possibly a vintage design bazaar. Designers will no longer exhibit in a large tent on the street, they will be placed inside adjacent show rooms and in special pop-ups along Grand Avenue between Wood Street and Western. Christy Webber Farm & Garden Center will feature their annual Harvest Fest from 11am-4pm each day with children’s activities, including hay rides, petting zoos, pumpkin painting, and much more. Attendance each year has grown significantly, with media outlets annually calling Design Harvest one of the “can’t miss” events of the year.

Produced by the West Town Chamber of Commerce and a planning committee comprised of local Grand Avenue Design District business owners, Design Harvest covers the wide spectrum of design disciplines found throughout Chicago; as well as spotlights the design businesses specifically in the Grand Avenue Design District.
